Assessment & Preparation

We assess the existing surface condition, any failed render or paint, and access requirements. Scaffolding or access platform requirements are confirmed. Surfaces are cleaned, repaired, and primed as required for the specified render system.

Masking & Protection

All windows, doors, sills, and surrounding surfaces are fully protected before spray application begins. Machine rendering is precise in skilled hands, but thorough protection is non-negotiable.

Machine Application

Render is applied by machine at the correct rate and thickness for the specified system. Coverage and consistency are checked throughout. Corners, arises, and reveals are formed and finished.

Ruling Off & Finishing

The render is ruled off to a consistent plane. On textured finishes, the surface is brought to the specified texture (scratch, float, sponge, or or scraped). On monocouche systems, the surface is scraped back while green to expose the aggregate and achieve the characteristic through-colour finish.

Inspection & Sign-Off

The completed render is inspected for consistency, coverage, and finish quality before protection is removed and the site is handed back.

Programme depends on the area, the render system, access, and preparation requirements. A typical house re-render using silicone or monocouche by machine can often be completed in 3 to 5 days once scaffolding is in place, compared to 7 to 10 days for hand application. Multi-coat systems require curing time between coats. We provide a programme estimate with every written quotation.
Machine rendering is suitable for most modern construction: cavity wall, insulated frame, block, and brick. It is not appropriate for listed buildings, heritage buildings, or any solid-wall property that requires a breathable lime render system.
